fine art sails

True to our motto in bringing art outside the gallery walls, we assisted Fine Art Sails founder Michael Ross of CNM Estates in commissioning his first fleet of artists Jaime Gili, EINE and INSA to create designs on Olympic Star Class Sails.

Fine Art Sails is the first-of-its-kind alliance between the elevated communities of World Class Sailing and International Fine Art. The
concept, founded by Michael Ross of CNM Estates, commissioned renowned artists to create signature original artworks that are painted onto Star Class sails.

Fine Art Sails bridges the previously disconnected worlds of Fine Art and Sailing. Established in spring 2012, in the lead up to the 2012 London Olympics and Paralympics, Fine Art Sails has commemorated the exceptional success of Team GB Medal Winners at the same time as supporting a selection of nautical charities, most recently the Andrew Simpson Sailing Foundation in memory of Andrew "Bart" Simpson, with the National Schools Art Competition, conceived by Michael Ross and launched in partnership with The Campaign for Drawing.

Dulwich Oudoor Gallery collaborated with International street artists to create large scale public murals inspired by Baroque masterpieces from the Dulwich Picture Gallery, England's oldest public gallery. As part of our legacy to bring art outside the gallery walls we invited LA graffiti artist Mear One to recreate his version of the modern 'Madonna and Child' inspired by Bartolomé Esteban Murillo. The result is a powerful 30 foot mural adorning the side of popular local venue on Lordship Lane - purposeful Madonna holding her young with a golden halo shining with the slogan of 'Equality'.
